NPTEL is used by millions of students in India. Despite such a large user base, the original website seems outdated and lacks essential Web UI design aspects.
Task Analysis of the original website with 5 participants and competitive analysis of similar websites such as Coursera and EdX, helped me identify the flaws within the website and the modifications required to improve them.
An updated version of the website was designed keeping in mind the insights from the Affinity Diagram shown above.
Learning Outcomes
1. Got introduced to live prototyping with InVision.
2. Understood how to properly critique a website.
3. Added the terms "Task Analysis" and "Competitive Analysis" to my design vocabulary.
